We are dedicated to harnessing the power of advanced technologies to design impactful solutions to enable business to gain unprecedented insights, optimize processes, and make informed decisions to pave the way towards a more substainable future.
What is data sanitization?
Data sanitization is the process of permanently destroying data on a storage device, making it irrecoverable by all means. Data sanitization does not just ensure that data is irreversibly destroyed but also renders the device reusable. It is an irreversible, deliberate, and secure method of data destruction. Other data sanitization methods like data deletion, reformatting, factory reset, data wiping, file shredding, and data destruction (without verification) are considered incomplete processes, as they still carry a high risk of data breaches.
Why data sanitization is important?
By securely removing all traces of sensitive information from storage devices, data sanitization helps organizations on the following: 1. Protecting sensitive information 2. Compliance with data protection regulations 3. Mitigating the risk of data breaches 4. Safeguarding business reputation 5. Reduce eWaste through equipment reuse 6. Increase ESG carbon reduction footprint 7. Secure audit trail

COLD & CLOUD DATA ARCHIVE
Cold Data Storage Solution
Next-generation optical disk archiving, and advanced software stacks, CDSS is an integrated solution to satisfy primary storage, cold data storage, and off-line storage needs as a perfect choice for long-term data archiving.
FACT & NUMBERS
According to IDC’s annual Digital Universe study, the digital universe will grow by a factor of 10 – from 4.4 zettabytes (that is a trillion gigabytes) in 2013 to 44 ZB by 2020. It more than doubles every two years.
Industry experts estimate that data is growing at approximately 30% annually and could generate as much as 175 ZB by 2025. That’s more than ten times the 16.1 ZB of data generated in 2016.
The raw volume of data that businesses accumulate these days is so big that 60% of them budget money specifically for data storage.
According to industry analysts, 60% or more of stored data can be archived or stored in cooler storage tiers until it’s needed.
The energy consumption of data centers is rising exponentially. By 2026, the energy consumption of data centers is expected to rise to 1,000TWh.
What is cold data storage?
Cold data storage pertains to storing inactive data that is seldom used or accessed. Usually, this data needs to be kept for extended periods, if not indefinitely, due to business requirements or compliance regulations. Cold data storage is typically more cost-effective compared to high-performance primary storage used for managing more frequently accessed data.
What is cold data storage is important?
With the rapid growth of unstructured data, organizations across a wide range of industries are realizing the advantages of cold data storage: 1. Optimize storage resources 2. Prevent primary storage from becoming overloaded with inactive data 3. Utilize more economical storage resources for inactive data 4. Reduce overall storage costs 5. Simplify storage and data management 6. Meet compliance and governance requirements efficiently
Benefits of Optical Disc Archive
1. High storage capacity
With advanced high-density disc structure compared to the old tape method, each cartridge consists of six discrete recording layers, three media cartridges, and the storage of 5.5TB of data.
2. Durability on Sony ODA
SONY optical disc technology gives backup of your applications, long-term cold storage, and exceptional durability across diverse environmental conditions, including varying temperatures and humidity levels.
3. Secure cold storage
Traditional tape-based storage systems rely on hardware-dependent read/write heads. In contrast, optical disc archive cartridges are engineered for robustness, swift performance, long life, and straightforward storage needs.
4. Efficient Speed to read/write
With four laser head assemblies and an eight-channel optical drive, SONY ODA allows the read/write laser head from both sides of the disc. This gives a high speed of 375 MB/s (read) and 187.5 MB/s (write) compared to tape-based storage.
